I had a meeting with Ted
Who turned out to be sick in bed
He was ill
Laid very still
And was glowing red
Hey bloggers!
Today I have made a Limerick called Ted stuck in bed.
A Limerick is a poem that consists of 5 lines and the first, second, and fifth has to rhyme and have at least 7-10 syllables. The third and fourth line have to rhyme also but on it's own and consist of 5 syllables. I have enjoyed this activity because it is a different writing style to the usual and also it gets your creative juices flowing! My question is what is your favorite style of writing and why?
Comment below your answer and I will reply!

Chelsy!
Hi chelsy I really like your Limerick.
ReplyDeleteChelsy you have got the rhyming just right. I hope you had fun writing the limerick and thinking of the rhyme and rhythm. What a great idea to include some information about what a limerick is on your blog. I find it hard to name a writing style that would be my favourite, I do like writing that has great descriptive words so that when I am reading it I can see a picture in my head of what something looks like. Great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat limerick Chelsy. I also like how you explained what limericks are. Have you tried any other forms of poetry?
